Maria Iskariot / Silk
KONZERT
Maria Iskariot still has no answers to your questions. Yet they extend a wet hand to anyone who has rehearsed the steps to the Waltz Of The Hopeless. The four-headed dog has grown into a tender monster that celebrates friendship, washes contempt, and underscores Life. They delight the world with a brilliant imperfection as a joyful protest against the age-old evil.
On October 31, they’ll release their debut album, Wereldwaan, already hailed by critics as a timeless cult classic that holds today’s delusions up to the light of eternity.
The album will be released by Burning Fik, the Dutch label run by Faberyayo (De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig) and Abel (Hang Youth). The album will also be released in Spain by Montgri, cementing their presence in the trans-european punk scene.
After more than 180 shows in 2024 -2025, they are now deep in preparations for a release tour in 2026, hitting Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and France!
Support: Silk
Anyone hearing Silk for the first time inevitably thinks of smoky basement clubs somewhere between London and Brighton. But the four piece band actually hails from Düsseldorf and Cologne. This newcomer band is well on its way to breathing new life into the German alternative scene — with a sound so international, you have to listen twice to believe it. Melodic guitar riffs, distinctive basslines, punchy drums, and high-energy vocals deliver a raw intensity that lands somewhere between punk, grunge, and alternative rock.
With their songs, Silk taps into themes that capture the spirit of the times: love, self-discovery, anger, social pressure and the emotional chaos of a searching generation. Live, the band unleashes its full power — loud, raw, and electrifying. At their shows, it’s rare for the audience to stand still. The energy is contagious, and their presence unmistakable. Inspired by artists like Amyl and the Sniffers, Fontaines D.C., and Mannequin Pussy, Silk describe their sound as versatile, creative and above all, loud.
